The City of Dundee went down by 12 shots to a Highland side who had inflicted a heavy defeat on their 'City' opponents in the final fixture of last seasons competition. At the halfway stage of the game the score stood at 66-66. Not long after, the rain came & the Highland side coped with the rain soaked surface better than their 'City' counterparts.  They established a consistant lead 0f 10-12 shots & held that advantage to the end of the match. A disappoining opening result for the 'City' lads, but hopefully, the side can find the form of last season that took them so close to qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Andrew Hamilton Trophy.
